Unique Retreat Home Ideal for Group Programs

Special ½ Price Rental Rates for August & September

Take advantage of our end-of-summer special rates for our large, lovely and very private Hale Halawa.  This 7 acre property, located between Hawi and Pololu Valley in cool and vog-free North Kohala, is an ideal setting for group retreats of up to 12 people. It is easy walking distance to Kapania Bay and coastal trails. Galleries and restaurants are minutes away by car. In August and September we are offering to our community a 50% price reduction.  At these prices, it makes it easy to find an excuse for a group gathering or retreat.

Enjoy the tranquil setting in a secluded 7 acre estate in North Kohala.This spacious 2-story, 2500 square foot home is nestled nearby the coastline along lush forest and tropical foliage. Perfect for retreats and programs, this home includes an airy Great Room with high beam ceilings and marble floors throughout; perfect for overnight programs, it includes 5 bedrooms downstairs (2 twin beds per room), 3 bathrooms, and a large open-plan loft upstairs.

Quiet and serene, the estate also has fruit trees and fragrant gardenias which grace Halawa House's garden. Enjoy your breakfast in the outdoor screened lanai as you view the blue Pacific.

Nearby Activities

North Kohala is a visitor’s paradise without the hustle and bustle. Hawi and Kapaau town include art galleries, bookstore, quaint cafes, and restaurants, local music on the weekends, gift stores featuring local artisans.

Access to the beach is just a 25 minute walk from the estate

Hiking in Polulu Valley, the Bond Estate and along the coastline

Waimea is just a ½ drive from Hawi town. While destination's such as Honoka'a, Waipio Valley, Waikoloa and Kailua-Kona are within an 1 - 1.5 hours drive away.

Regular Rate: $450/night; $2000/week; $6000/month

$300 cleaning fee for stays less than one week.

2 night min. stay;

Check-in after 3 p.m.; checkout at 11 a.m.

Up to 10 people at no additional cost; $25 per person over 10; to a maximum occupancy of 12. Credit card guaranty is required for a security deposit.

10% discount for established 501 3(c)
